Ezar doesn’t have any family. She doesn’t have any companions or mates. Ezar has comrades. Her entire life has been a fight and for her, the closest she has to friends are those she chooses to fight alongside on the battlefield. Ezar is what’s known as not a “people-person”.
Ezar chooses to stay separated from the rest of the clan. She doesn’t get along well with them; never has. She had joined the clan as exalt fodder; merely a ritual sacrifice to the land’s deity. No one who looked at her ever gave her a second thought. The world had decided she wasn’t worth the space she took. An ugly hatchling with ugly genes, there was no hope for her.
When Thys came to her, she saw the amount of anger within her.
“Why do your eyes burn with hatred, young one? You are far too young to know much to be angered about.”
“I’m not going to be exalted. Just watch, I’m going to fight before I let you exalt me!” A small pearlcatcher, Ezar held no fear of the giant guardian she spoke to. The only fear in her voice was the fear of not being able to fulfill her promise.
“I see. I hope you will do so.” Thys then placed Ezar on her coliseum guard. She had seen the rage within her and knew there was no chance of her fitting in with civil clan life. But her dignified anger did not condemn her to exaltation. Her fighting skills were far better than anyone in the clan, and more importantly, despite her brave face, she knew that Ezar was only a scared hatchling searching for a home.
Ezar’s fighting style is quick, lethal, reckless. Her desire to best any enemy is what makes her a dangerous opponent. She takes every enemy head on, using any technique possible to bring them down. Fast and powerful, Ezar is an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. Her tenacity is her strength, but it's also her greatest weakness. She doesn’t care if she gets injured, as long as she defeats her opponent, no matter the cost. Her independent personality won’t allow her to accept help from others so she fiercely rejects any assistance offered to her, and since armor drags her down, she’ll charge into battle with little protection, often leaving her seriously scarred despite being victorious.
Sunbeam Soldier, Bellux
From the latin words "bellum", combat, and "lux", light; Bellux fights alongside Ezar in the coliseum, granting her protection in battle. Although Ezar holds no allegiance for the Lightweaver, that does not mean the deity has ignored her. The Lightweaver knows of all her children whether they accept her or not, and she has seen the way Ezar fights in the coliseum, always giving one hundred percent of herself in every battle. A warrior like that would of great service to the light deity one day, and when that day does come, she'll still be able to. It would be a shame for such a fine warrior to fall in petty beastclan battle before the Lightweaver can properly use her.
