What remains of Aemergan's personality post-curse is best described as mechanical. He focuses on nothing aside from work and though he appears not to hear anything he still expertly fulfils specific requests. He shows no affection, joy, sadness, any of the recognizable emotions one would expect. The only thing anyone can see is an abject fear and horror if he is ever forced to stop working even for a moment.

Aemergan was born to fire and blacksmithing. Raised in the art from a young age and with a natural talent for it, Aemergan became prideful of his work and arrogantly boasted about his skill whenever he could. He moved on from his birth clan to join Wildfire where he could monopolize his own forge, taking on an apprentice named Sinder when he saw the opportunity. Apprentice turned mate turned attempted voice of reason to him.

Sadly that voice of reason was not enough to stop him from taking on a job request to turn a strange artefact into a weapon. He slaved for days over the artefact with Sinder's assistance before the curse held within it consumed him. From that point onward he was forced to work tirelessly in the forge or the chains binding him would choke out his life. Little of the original Aemergan remained in personality but his skill and his products continued to excel.
