Lore:
Millennia ago, when Sornieth was but an unstable mass of magical energy, many species fought for control of the magic. The world had not yet formed and many creatures were fighting over who got to control this magic and the future world.

Species were divided and families were torn apart.

One species that fought over this magic were the Celestials who's bodies were primarily made of magic, normal matter and dark matter. This species was a humble race until the discovery of the unstable energy. Individuals that were once friends were now enemies and a fierce battle took place in the space where Sornieth would soon stand proud.

Centuries passed and many species drove themselves to extinction. The Celestials, however, continued to fight but with dwindling numbers.

On this battlefield stood two proud warriors. One warrior, named Epsilon, was fighting to create an atmosphere with the magic so they could create illusions and live a peaceful life in a dream world. The other warrior, Iota, fought to create a landmass where they could live out their days in reality.

The species that had once been extremely close-knit were now completely torn apart by different visions - a place where one could live in reality and a place where one could live in their own made-up world!

During the final days of the battle Epsilon and Iota went head to head as some of the last beings standing! They both fought bravely but seemed to be equally matched.

Just as the last Celestials fell a wave of energy shot out and separated the two warriors. They were driven apart and looked around them. No creatures were left. What was once a huge battlefield filled with many different species was now a barren wasteland. There was no one left but them.

Iota sheathed her weapons and slouched. Her friends, her family, her species... were gone...

Epsilon seemed to feel the same way and sheathed his weapons. There was no one left - there was no reason to fight any longer.

Epsilon went over, bowed to Iota and spoke in their native language: "There is not one being left to fight anymore. We are but the same - we should not be fighting any longer. End this here and honour our fallen comrades... our fallen family…"

Iota accepted Epsilon's words and used a binding magical force to create a promise - a promise to work together and end this war.

"We were foolish. We believed them. Our species is gone because of our stupidity!" Iota cried.

"Never mind them. This is a chance, Iota, a chance to make something new from the ashes of war. We can help create a world where dreams and reality can be one of the same! Come with me and help create peace!"

The two Celestials agreed to let time take its course and let a planet form naturally and not from the influence of their advanced magic. This took another century but it was worth the wait - the new planet was born and life could start!

As many new battles took place on Sornieth and new gods arose, Epsilon and Iota stayed hidden and watched over the world as guardians. They made sure every creature on the planet could have the time to spend their days in reality and their nights in dreams.

As new creatures were created by these draconic gods the Celestials took a new form to help blend in should they have the need to visit the mortals. Their new form looked identical to the species known as Mirror Dragons though they can change their form as often as they like!

The two Celestials have accepted each other as friends, as lovers and as family! They no longer see each other as enemies and strive to give the creatures of Sornieth the life they could never have.

Nowadays, little is heard from the Celestials. Their existence has only been recorded in ancient books that now sit in museums. However, some dragons still pass on the stories to their young ones - stories of battles, gods, magic... and peace!

Starry Deity Babies:

It seems that some hatchlings adorning the beautiful appearance of stars are appearing on the doorsteps of different clans! These hatchlings seem extremely magical in nature and have many different abilities!

Experts have deducted that they are the offspring of the two Celestial guardians that history has almost forgotten. How and why they are here is a mystery to everyone. Perhaps they are a gift to the dragons to help them in their time of need? Perhaps they are too mortal to live in the world of gods?

One popular theory is that the Celestials don't want their children to grow up alone or different to anyone else thus send them down into the world of mortality so they can live their lives and give help where help is needed. They are a gift from the gods!

The dragons of Sornieth quickly dubbed them Starry Deities!

However, one thing is certain - if a Starry Deity lands on your doorstep then you can be certain that the guardians are watching over you!
