History
Oliver was born as a Pearlcatcher back when triple colored dragons were very rare. He was one of the first of his kind, and he was gotten completely by luck. His father was an odd mulberry fellow with an obsession with seashells, and his mother was Andrite. As you may or may not know, Andrite has never been fond of hatchlings and refused to raise them. She was forced to breed due to her coloration, but she would leave her nests to her eccentric mate as soon as they hatched. He was a fair parent, if you didn't mind the nonsensical talk of Plaguebringer being in league with the shade and seashells being the only thing that could tell the future.
Oliver has survived about half a dozen kidnappings and attempted sales. He was too young to notice, but Lanya and Caly decided that he needed to be trained to defend himself before he got carried off on the back of some Guardian to live in another clan. Oliver always felt like he was "hand-picked" and "chosen". Whatever that means. He was trained, and given armor, and then they put him on sentry duty. No one is going to approach the clan of full-strength fighters, of course, he somehow felt he was protecting them. Most of the other dragons just roll their eyes at him and tell him that he's doing a great job at his post. It keeps him out of trouble, and from needlessly starting fights just to prove how brave he is.

He was mated with Olive for some time, but she decided to change her coloration with an experimental magic method and he is no longer attracted to her.
