The princess smiles at you enter the castle. “Welcome to Crystalrune!” She giggles, prancing over to you. “My name is Princess Aura, and you WILL address me as such.” she smiles. You lower yourself into a bow and she panics, putting a claw on your shoulder. “Nono! We don’t do that here!” she exclaims. “Princes and Princesses don’t get bows. Just respect and our titles.” she explains. “I’m going to take over the Kingdom when Jupiter steps down, which makes me the first dragoness to rule the kingdom without a king!” she squeals. “Cool right?”
Early Life
Aura was hatched in a wind clan where nobody really cared about her. The whole kingdom was based upon the action of buying and selling dragonets. She was put up for auction the day she hatched, left at the auction house with no name, no family, and no one to take care of her. After several days, she was taken in by King Jupiter and Queen Firefly. The two adopted her as their own and raised her as their daughter to become a princess. The kingdom was vast, and the Monarchs told the beautiful young hatchling that one day she’d take over the kingdom for them, as they had no children of their own.
Living In Crystalrune
When she was first introduced to the other dragons, she was drawn to a petite young witch named Rune. She didn’t really understand why, and every time she tried to talk to the young dragoness, she simply waved her paws and blushed. Aura later asked her father why Rune was being so rude, and The King explained to her that Rune was deaf. She moved her paws in sign language to communicate. Aura immediately demanded to be taught sign language so she could speak to the young witch. They obliged, and as soon as she could, Aura rushed to talk to Rune. The witch was so overjoyed that Aura learned sign language to speak to her that she was moved to tears.
Years later, Rune told Aura that she felt she’d fallen in love with her. Aura was startled, having been told that two female dragons being partners was sinful. Rune explained that love knows no boundaries, and that since she was royalty, she was excused of all crimes. Aura returned the confession of love and dragged Rune to the palace with her. She breathlessly told the King and Queen that she wanted to marry the witch. They looked at one another before confirming that Aura wasn’t interested in any of the suitors in the kingdom. Aura declined. They hestiantly agreed, and the two got married 6 moons later. Their anniversary is January 3rd, as they were the first same sex couple in Crystalrune. They send gifts to any other LGBT couples in Sornieth on that day, and it’s celebrated all across the kingdom.
