The name doesn't fit anymore, I think. I think it's like a coat that used to be just right, used to be baby shoes worn out from use, always patting out a steady beat.

The guilt comes back just when you think it's gone. It has faded into the background, but every so often, it comes back with cold concrete innards and the razor-sharp knowledge that you have done wrong, so deeply wrong.
And maybe I was thinking with the airy, cloud-high-head of a fool that maybe, just maybe, I could love and love so much that I would be enough. And maybe that was naive and loving of me, and maybe I should remember that love doesn't conquer all and maybe this is me being cynical and bitter and jaded but I'll take a bite over a kiss if it hurts people less.
