Cyn has a fiery spirit; in more than one way. For the beginning majority of her life she grew up in the calm forests of the Gladekeeper. She discovered young that she had abilities that affected plants. While not all that unusual, it become rapidly apparent her gifts were more than most. Barely more than a hatchling she was reviving foliage on the brink of decay. A month later and she was calling life back into dead tree limbs.

Soon she felt the call to seek out her place. While common for others, the unignorable urge to travel from home was unexpected from a Snapper. This caused unrest in her Nature clan, who planned several meetings with elders to sort it out.

They could not simply ignore a dragon's calling, and yet to leave was something none could understand.

Within the first meeting Cyn had already made her decision, then going by a different name she's long swore off.

The elders were not going to give their blessing no matter how many meetings were held. She felt it in her core.

The young dragon stole off one night. As she came to the edge of her clan's territory and looked into the expansive plainslands before her she realized she had no direction despite the need to move. With a final deep breath and no glance behind she pressed forward without thinking, allowing whatever force that drove her to move her as it would.

In time she stumbled upon a different kind of dragon clan. The fae had found her first. The small group flit close at such speed she was unable to even begin moving away before their questions started. They wanted to know, of course, why she was in their home. Their words were not ill nor concerned, though it was always difficult to read the tone of a fae, so Cyn trusted her knowledge of their body language and judged it relaxed, albeit curious and... A little excited?

The Light clan had proven to be extremely friendly to outsiders and readily taken the snapper into their homes. The fae introducing her to each dragon they'd passed on their way through. They were a small, still growing clan. Many of the dragons were clearly not native to these Light lands, as where ever Cyn turned a multitude of differently colored eyes greeted her.

As weeks passed she found that the urge to move was waning. She was unsure what this meant, but took it as a sign and stayed with the clan. While not the faces she'd grown up with she still found she trusted these dragons, and they had no elders to rule her decisions.

Discovering the elusive Aves also lived with these dragons reaffirmed her decision to stay and confirmed to her that this was where she was meant to be. His powers were similar to her own, and he too had come from a Nature clan, further away than her own had been.

He spoke and shared little of himself with her but they quickly bonded, Cyn following him and learning of his daily tasks often. All welcomed the idea of a second talented dragon to tend to the growth of the clan's territory.
The night the fire broke across the outer stretches of land was the night Cyn truly recognized why her urge had brought her to this land, this clan, these dragons. When she reached the blaze her heart tore in two, feeling the nature around her burn alive and cry out for relief. Without clear thoughts she'd tapped into the land itself.

Focusing all her power into bringing the dying flora back. This was a mistake, she was later told.
But she still ponders it.

Straining from the hasty actions her body sank lower and lower to the ground until she all but laid on it, unable to move. Voices around her had caught up and began calling to her frantically, but they were drown out by the roaring flames surrounding her.

When the last of the fires were finally put out and the smoke had cleared all were amazed by how pristine the majority of land still was. Grass, flowers, leaves, and shrubs all still stood - but now pointed forwards one focal point. Cyn laid there, still in the same spot as when they'd last seen her. The clan rushed to her side, Aves at the front, yet all but he halted when approaching.

The snapper was still breathing, slowly in her unconscious sleep, yet had been transformed by the flames. Her once green body that seemed to nearly blend into the grass around her had turned a burnt color, her entire hide now branded in stripes that shown a glowing hue beneath them. Her wings matched this inner glow, blotched in the same burnt tone of her body.

Whatever was beneath seemed to move, and glowed softly against the plants surrounding their savior. When she finally came to, Cyn's eyes opened to reveal the same glowing sight.

None could pin down what had happened that night. Some wondered if the Flamecaller had intervened, seeing a dragon willing to lay down their own well being to protect something as mundane as an expanse of plains. Others wondered if the magic she surely already possessed had seized her. A few hastily whispered questions of it being a curse from the Gladekeeper for abandoning her home.

This blessedly never reached Cyn's own ears. There was even thoughts that she now embodied the very forest fire that had began all this.

In the aftermath she appeared perfectly normal and healthy, if very tired for some following weeks. The changes truly appeared to be aesthetic, though she felt much warmer than she had before, and even described feeling as if the fire lived inside her now.

The clan, before unable to decide on a name for her before, gave her the offering of the name Cyn. They presented it as a coming home gift, and she readily accepted. Aves keeps a much closer eye on her now, and she's fully apprenticed under him. Nobody within the clan minds the warm glow illuminated from her, especially as they've come to know the dragon even deeper inside of it.
