Sable

He silently guards the clan, silently staring and politely tilting his head when you speak to him. Some ask why he's so quiet, and most would tell you, it's not their place to say. Others would just say, 'Ask him yourself, he's not shy about it.'

And he isn't. He'd show you the scars that mar his throat, and then open his jaws for you, and show you his lack of a tongue. Despite all of this though, he seems oddly content.

Sometimes, you'll hear some dragons whisper as to why he still wears the black feathers, as they were 'her' mark on him. Some have no idea, or their own guesses. Some of them are pretty close, but only one dragon has the right guess. And if you ask her? She'd tell you; 'I say they're a trophy now. He proudly wears them as his, as a mark of his victory...like wearing the crown of a fallen king whom you yourself have slain'.

And if he could speak? He'd say she was right.
