Sol was appointed matriarch of the Soncha Kapa clan because of her wise and fair decisions. She has spent years studying the history of Sornieth, and her travels throughout the Sunbeam Ruins make her quite the expert when it comes to dragon history. She consults with Demeter and Tian often, the three of them having friendly debates about the peoples - and dragons - that came before them. But while Tian prefers to draw conclusions about how their ancestors lived, Sol uses that knowledge to rule her clan in a fair and just manner.

Sol is never quick to judge, either. If a dragon has been accused of wrong-doing, she gets the opinions and facts from those who know the dragon, and only then does she make a decision about what must be done. The dragons of the Clan respect their Matriarch, and see Sol as a mother to all.
