Onyx- the emissary
When an acolyte of the arcane clan first proposed the idea of a rescue party at a spontaneous gathering of clans, the shadow clan was the first to send dragons from their own ranks to help. They had settled close enough to the great smoke to know of its great pull, and many had lost friends or family to the city.
Onyx, head sorceress of the clan and next in line to lead it was the first to volunteer. She was already known for her strange and incomprehensible decisions, no doubt all part of some great plan, but the surprise was great when she was the first dragon to join the rescue team. Many thought it a mission fated to end in doom, but the presence of a known medium and necromancer on the team was an odd sort of comfort. If things went all too wrong, at least someone could raise hell.
