Biography

Daithi Iveen, a laid-back and easygoing dragon who would prefer to keep things that way for as long as possible. He hates to fight, and that is what led him exactly to his current destination, and to his true love.

Selected Virtue: Amicability
Hindering Vice: Capriciousness
  • Gets cold the easiest.
Birthplace:

After the disastrous results of the Nature-Plague armistice that resulted in the infection of Ambassador Liefa and the unleashing of The First Seed, tensions between the two already less-than-friendly-with-one-another Dragonflights were at an all-time high. Daithi was a hunter, he ate the food that nature provided as long as he gave some of it back to the earth, and that did mean on occasion killing animals for their meat, but warfare was not something that he was prepared for. The looming threat of being sent off to fight for Dominance was already a bit much for him, but this was the final straw. Daithi decided that, as much as he loved his homeland, he would rather not stay in such perilous conditions.
The Nocturne flew south like a bird in Winter, and while he didn't have much an opinion on Light dragons, who were more concerned with the bulky constructs and cosmically unimportant scribblings of a dead civilization than the flora and fauna around them, but they still had bountiful trees and a good, warm climate not unlike what he was used to. The call to the Tangled Wood was tempting, but he had heard that such places were rife with less-than-friendly spirits, and he wasn't about to mess with anything like that.
While enjoying the sun and the grass, he came across an Imperial who asked him if he needed a place to go. A bit affronted, he raised an eyebrow and clarified to her that he was just fine surrounded by the life around him. He recognized by her cyan eyes that she was a Lightning dragon, which was as far apart from the Nature lifestyle as you could get. He figured that she would never truly understand his way of life, but he didn't know this wouldn't be the last time they crossed paths.
Not too long afterwards, a small group of dragons calling themselves The Morning Roses said they could use a Nature dragon such as himself to help with their newly-acquired garden, as at the time they only had Sarnai and Iris trying to turn this grassy yard into a blooming wonderland. Daithi was more than happy to oblige, only to run into a certain Imperial who was helping repair their indoor dwelling. She introduced herself proper as Alexandra Cloudburst, and due to their frequent incidental meet-ups, they were curious about their heavily clashing cultures, and decided to learn more about them.
What they didn't know is that they'd learn more about each other over time, and how close they'd grow as a result, leading to the two falling for one another and becoming mates. They're a quirky pair to be sure, and utterly mismatched with their personalities, birth Flights, the origin Flight of their respective species, and even their genes and colors, but life is too short for matching socks, as they say, and that could extend to couples as well. Today, they get along wonderfully, and adore one another's company.
Like many Nocturnes, Daithi is very social, one of the most popular dragons in the Morning Rose Tribe due to his outgoing but lax nature and his dry rapier wit and well-timed humor. While many could do without his mimicry and occasional sarcasm, he is quite endearing to many. In addition to his gardening skills, he is also quite clever, being the main trapmaker when it comes to gathering game. The closer he got with Alexandra, the more her penchant for crafting devices had begun to rub off on him, and he, too, tries his hand at tinkering, even if it more often than not turns out as just purposeless junk. He has stated that he would like to create a contraption that would allow a dragon to continue soaring through the skies whilst resting their wings and not worrying about losing altitude and remain airborne for months or even years, but he's still ironing out the bugs, especially given that inventions are more up Alexandra's alley. Regardless, this young Nocturne proves to be the life of the party, and many members of the clan appreciate his presence.

Sludd and his spouse Fryst are a pair of centaurs who used to be fiercely against dragons due to a run-in with a corrupt clan until they were trapped in one particularly horrid blizzard which nearly killed them and were given shelter by an elderly Tundra. Their young son did not survive after having become deathly ill from the storm, and the Tundra still allowed them to stay and allow them to heal emotionally from the loss as well as physically from any illness or injury the blizzard gave them. This random act of kindness changed their minds about dragonkind, and they were hired as members of the guard by the Morning Roses during one of their trips to the Southern Icefields. They've since acted as bodyguards to the highest-ranked and most senior members of the tribe, and while this mostly pertains to Beastclan individuals within the Morning Roses (in particular Regent Talvi), this still extends to dragons, which of course includes Alexandra and Daithi. The couple's lovey-dovey attitude towards each other makes them somewhat kindred spirits with the centaur couple, even if Sludd and Fryst are a great deal more serious than Alexandra and Daithi.
