ACHILLES COMMANDER
XdH4LRw.png

“There are no bargains between lions and men.
I will kill you and eat you raw.”

Noble Achilles was the first dragon of Clan Mythos to take on the Shade, and is the most adept warrior. He has a tendency toward the slightly taciturn, and gives off an air that many read as superiority; in truth, he is not particularly arrogant, just confident in the knowledge of his own abilities and unwilling to speak when he has nothing to say. Unsurprisingly, he gets along well with Perseus, and the two of them make an excellent team when gathering items for the clan's hoard or training new adepts.

Achilles keeps to himself, for the most part, but those that train with him find him an excellent leader and teacher. By turns encouraging and challenging, adepts that work with him find their skills increasing quickly, and their confidence keeping pace. One of these adepts is Brunhilde, who has been very attached to Achilles since her hatchday. Achilles pretends to be irritated by her, but is just as attached, and increasingly proud of her battlefield prowess.

Honest to a fault, he is sometimes tactless, and has at times needed Heimdallr to mediate disputes between himself and other members of the clan (or, memorably, an ally Beastclan).

He is devoted to Patroclus; theirs is a love-bond so deep it defies explanation, and brings joy to the other members of the clan. Achilles has little interest in hatchlings, but will occasionally couple with a suitable mate if the needs of the clan dictate it. Patroclus and Brunhilde bring out a gentler, more humorous side of him, and with Patroclus in particular he is witty and quick, often keeping their company in stitches.
