Biography
XXX ARCHMAGE CAINDER XX Guardian? / Arcane / ? ? ? |
Details wrote:
Location: Shardsnap Tower
Occupation:Shardsnap Figurehead,Potential Doomsday Catalyst Titles:Great One,Lord Starcaller "Hrrmph. Let the worms toil in the filth below. They can call me their King, their God, but I shall not lead them." Past Cainder lived in the old kingdom of Wrendas and served King Varlok as his Archmage. The nearby Darkshard Tower had long been of interest to Varlok (and to Cainder, to a smaller extent) and when studies of the tower revealed what appeared to be a door, Varlok tasked Cainder with finding some way to open it, When he did a curse was released. Droughts and plagues ravaged the land, claiming the lives of many, including(sort of) his son Dusk. When the city sank in the final stages of the curse, Dusk fell ill, and with no hope of a cure, Cainder took his son's soul and transferred it into a crystal husk. He lived with his family in the Darkshard Descent of Cairnstone Rest until Dusk was kidnapped, then he cast everyone out in his fury. Reunited Soon after seismic activity began to hit the area, Cainder worked with a small contingent of Longfall guards to mount an attack on the Ashwell, where his scrying revealed Dusk had been taken. After a brief battle, the Ashen Queen Phyrrin was defeated and the archmage and his son were reunited. Quakes destroyed the Ashwell soon after and threatened Cainder's home and the nearby Longfall Den. Cainder followed the clan to the surface and then split off and headed south to the Shardsnap Mountains where he rose a tower to live in. After-Effects After the tower rose, the land around it began to change. The local flora and fauna began to twist and warp into unnatural forms. Unfortunately, this didn't go unnoticed and when word got out of Cainder and his abilities, small flocks of admirers and adventurers began to arrive in the area and started building a village nearby. Cainder made attempts to drive them away, but then eventually came to an agreement with them: They could stay and build, but were under no circumstances to come near him or his home. The new arrivals were happy to oblige. And in the end, it all works out. They got a place to live, and any threats to Cainder or his family were more likely to go after the village first.
