Biography
Check Holly for challenge information
The clan's two greatest fighters come from a background of brutality. Since they began having clutches of their own, Comet and Holly have kept up a long-standing custom of thrusting their children into the harsh wilderness of Sornieth, just hours or even minutes after they hatch.
The hatchlings are introduced to pain not long after they come out of their eggs. Comet uses his claws to scratch a mark onto each of them, signifying them as a participant of his and Holly's "game." Holly then secures a price tag around each of their necks — a death mark — for a single coin of treasure each. Finally, the warriors bring their children down to the auction block, and tell them "the rules are simple. All you have to do is survive. If whoever picks you up offers you a permanent home, you win. If they send you to serve their deity, you lose." before flinging them into the crowd of countless other hatchlings for sale.
Comet and Holly's challenge is one of extreme difficulty. With a lack of decent genetics and such a cheap price, many lairs are quick to snatch up the hatchlings and send them to the elemental deities. As they grow up, many of Comet's children come to hope that the lair who took them in may change their mind and decide to keep them around, or send them to a better home. Their silent pleas are rarely answered, however.
Doomed are the children of Comet and Holly, destined to forever serve under the deities, and never be whispered of again.
