There is only so much you can do, for those who don't want help.

She knew this, and yet as she stared at her parents, she couldn't comprehend it.
She'd known the plague would catch them, eventually, of course, just Not this soon

they were always in danger, but she'd somehow believed she could stop it. She could mend mortal wounds, stitch skin and sinew together and make them whole, but she could do NOTHING for those already dead.

The rot had advanced quickly, leaving them weak and emaciated, reeking of illness.
And eventually? Eventually there was nothing more she could do, and Midna?
she only had one option.
"I'm sorry" She whispered, and turned, wiping the dagger on her flank.


There was nothing keeping her here. Not anymore.
