A former nomad with a penchant for books and old scrolls, he was once part of a cluster of traveling fae. Attacked close to Lyra's fledgling lair, he was rescued by a young matriarch keen on protecting her lair and has not left since. To everyone's surprise, Echo's soft spoken manner and gentle touch was accepted into the lair almost immediately. No one had expected them to emerge as mates but the two have been joined together at the wing since.

Soft spoken and shy, Echo works as a balm on Lyra's nerves. He plays a crucial role in inter-lair relations, keeps the peace with his mere presence. Echo believes strongly in maintaining relationships, goes out of his way to help others. Lyra may grumble all she likes but she adores his altruistic nature, snapping out only when others take advantage.

Echo is well aware of his own short-comings, does not hunt, can't fly very fast and very far even if it makes members outside the lair laugh at his declarations of being Lyra's mate. Still, he is also keenly aware of the positive aspects of his personality, likes that he is one of the closest people to Lyra, likes knowing he can help her settle and forge ties in and out of the lair.

Echo can often be found flitting along the lair entrance with his plants, determined to grow his plants and doing a rather fantastic job of it thanks to his keen intuition for magical lay lines. He's spun himself a tree sap roost for him and his mate, often referred to as the love nest to Lyra's embarrassed grumblings, but it's sweet and it's homely just like him.
