Thanen

Born and raised in Ice, he found his way as a wobbly hatchling to The Rising Suns Sanctuary. He was only a few days old at the time and was scared of the world, hiding in Night’s thick winter coat. She coddled him for the most of his youth. Then, he changed. His first nest stolen from him in his eyes. Nebula was heartbroken to see her children battle dominance wars with good ol’ Icepop.

He waited a long time before taking to the nests again after that; with Alexandria. These young dragons, too, left to the Ice Warden. His mates have all seen his distress and he detached himself from the little eggs in the nests. That went on till he met Lapis. The beautiful crystal, shimmer, smoke lightning imp was after his icy heart and he let her have it. Their first nest, they stayed. Echo and Stark, the third sibling leaving to another clan before deciding they’d rather serve the Warden as well. Granted, Thanen was distressed, but having two of his babies there with him eased the blow. He was proud when Stark received an Okapi gene for her tertiary while the young mirror beamed happily, flaunting off her new stripes that molded perfectly with her rich caribbean colors.

Lapis has often taken him to the nests, most of her children being beautiful crystal-skinned beauties in deep shades of blue. He knew she missed her home and was there to comfort her when she needed it. Despite his love for hunting with his children, he takes great pleasure in guarding the Sanctuary.

He was weary when some of the new dragons began swarming the Sanctuary. He made very sure none of them had any ill intention towards his family. He disliked Vesper from the start when Echo took to her. He knew he was being racist when he curled his lip at the young shadow dragon. But he couldn’t help being protective of his children and what is best for them. And in his eyes, the shadow tundra was not what could be best for his little Echo.[/size]
