While many dragons see him as a simple scholar, Indigo is far more than capable of taking care of himself- and is unafraid to show any dragon that by challenging them to a contest. He wears gear to help him climb and hold to his companion's backs. He is particularly fond of sitting between Sev's shoulder blades.

He and his mate- Heatherknell- seem to get along rather well. Indigo is just too busy with his own work and Heatherknell with hers for them to spend much time with each other- often resulting in Sev dumping him off his back and insisting that the Fae stays beyond while he and Nyx go training. Indigo isn't much of a trainer of battle, and spends that part of training working with Alabaster to prepare anyone who seek the deities' call in other ways. Indigo will not allow any of his offspring to leave- even to serve- without proper training.

Indigo was the first dragon to join Nike and Sev on their quest for a homeland, and as such is their closest friend and confidant. Should Indigo ever wish, he could topple the Keep in but a moment. But he never shall, his loyalty lies with the liege and her consort alone
