ATOSH "The Seneschal, the Novamancer, the One who Hungers for the Heavens" A lone figure sits atop a crumbled pillar, fragments of stone swallowed by the sea of sand that has invaded this forgotten cavern. Matching columns - made in an age long past - line sections of the hollowed out walls, with myriads of books, candles, crystals, empty ink wells, and such dotting their bases. Incense mingles with the dust and hot desert breeze that filters through the large hole in the ceiling. This figure sits with their head downcast, unmoving and wings outstretched. For them, they are miles away from this bygone cave. Miles away from Sorienth. Heat, sand, thirst, companionship, war... all fades away. Only one thing matters to this figure. Ascension. Atosh is the founder of the Weavers of Chros. Extremely elusive, he spends all his time isolated in his chamber; meditating for long hours atop his throne of rubble. On the rare occasion that the Imperial makes an appearance to the residents of his enclave, he regards them with an air of authority. He does not believe he is above his followers, but believes he is the one to give them what they need: strength, power, wealth, passion. In time, he believes through his studies, his meditation, and through their worship of him that he will attain a power akin to the Gods, and become a God himself. The throne for one who governs time and entropy is unoccupied... |
