Anemone is a serious dragon whose field of study is glyphs left on tablets and parchment. He spends a great deal of his time buried in the piles of materials on his desk scouring them for patterns and ways to make meaning from the strange symbols. Sometimes he hires research assistants from the older hatchlings to scout out new fragments for him.

Although he's not one of the oldest clan members, Anemone has struck up a friendship with Zali, who sees him as an eccentric but interesting dragon to chat with as she watches over her lair. However, although they share a love of pink, they disagree over the best way to wear it- it's obvious that cloth and fur are superior!

His mate, Sanguine, finds both his apparel choices and his studies quite frivolous, given that she is from Ice where collection trumps research. (Although he originally hails from Lightning where his less than pragmatic interests are viewed just strange which is why he ended up in Arcane in the first place!) However, she loves him anyways (or because of it!), and has taken it upon herself to make the contributions for the clan for the both of them in exchange for a promise that he'll watch over and teach their first clutch.
