■ despite coming from an "evil" realm, Zarithel is actually not that bad. While annoying at times, they make for good company.

■ Zarithel can get into people's minds and influences their actions. It is not mind control, but rather like a whisper, suggesting which way to go.

■ while they are wary of strangers at first, Zarithel gets attached to people very quickly. This can prove to be a problem at times, as they are constantly demanding for attention.

Zarithel was born at the stroke of midnight, or perhaps summoned is the proper word. A young witch, toying with magics beyond her knowledge, brought forth the mysterious eldritch being by complete accident. Zarithel had been told before that eventually a skilled witch would summon them as a familiar. However, the witch that summoned Zarithel seemed nothing more than an apprentice at best. The powers that made up Zarithel were dark and corrupted, unpredictable and difficult to control. Despite the questions they had, it was Zarithel’s purpose to serve the witch who had summoned them.

Pip, the witch who summoned Zarithel, was more adept than she gave herself credit for. She was constantly second guessing and doubting herself, even when she had the correct answers. Unbeknownst to Pip, Zarithel was constantly influencing her in the right direction. Most of the time, Zarithel cannot be seen, which may be surprising given their intimidating size. They like to find the darkest corners, melding with the shadows, which makes for perfect hiding spots to pull pranks on people, but also just to hide. Despite being an eldritch monster, Zarithel is actually very playful, demanding constant attention. Their favorite thing to do is distract Pip from her work.
