There is some debate as to whether or not these dragons are known as the Starseekers or Star Seekers. The first would imply that they were named after the house, Starseeker, while the second could perhaps lead one to presume that the house was, in fact, named after the dragon species. However, there is one fact that is clearly evident, the colors of these dragons closely resemble that of the Starseeker house emblem.

Starseekers (or Star Seekers), are closely attuned to the stars. They have an uncanny sense of where certain constellations are in the night sky. They are able to spot a comet flying through the air before most dragons even realize it’s there. A night doesn’t pass where a Starseeker isn’t gazing up towards the heavens, charting the stars.

Some say that Starseeker dragons are connected to the stars, that when they are born into the world a star is created in the night sky just for them. This, what some scholars say, is why they spend all their time studying the sky because they are trying to find their own personal star. It can not be proved whether this is true or not, as no recorded Starseeker has ever found their star.

"Little little thing, hiding in the tree. Little little thing, running from me!"

When she was just a hatchling, she accidentally ran into the Starwood Strand. After months of being in the strand, on Halloween night she emerged once again, crazy and dangerous. She lurks and perches in trees like a bird of prey shouting down chants and rhymes at passerby dragons. Once she realizes that they are scared of her, she chases them through the underbrush causing as much noise as possible to only add to the fear. To date, she has yet to actually harm anyone other than herself in these endeavors.

She's quite a scary sight, but typically only goes after hatchlings. She has become quite the scary bedtime story with a quite beautiful name "Tree Star". Is this her real name or just the name of the story? Few dragons haven't fallen to her tricks and fewer still have tried to talk to her. Those who do find that there is still a little bit of dragon left in her and she isn't totally taken by insanity...yet.

She does spend a lot of time staring at the night sky from her high perches. This is only further proof that there is still something left inside of her that wasn't broken by the Strand, for if she is staring at the sky, she clearly remembers the story of the Starseekers, right?
