______ Eager to get the heck out of his egg, this little dragon punched out two arm holes and two leg holes as his first major act. This confused him slightly as he expected his egg to burst. He was excited to see the world outside.
Of course, he tried head butting a hole for his head but all he was accomplishing was making his parents laugh. He plopped down and let out a small sigh.

______ Was this his life now? Forever doomed to be an egg with legs. "Come on. You can do it." His father encouraged. He began head butting with all his might. A tiny egg lurching forward would be a funny sight to anyone. "Keep trying." More encouragment.
He was tired so once again, he plopped down. A hissing chuckle let him know that help was here. Darkness flooded his egg and it cracked all over. The darkness dissolved, he busted out of his egg and looked around. Taking a deep breath he plopped over onto his back. Hatching is a very exhausting thing. Surely this silly boy couldn't be haunted by the same darkness as his father...
