After a tragic incident in Rutzia's youth that rendered her physically paralyzed, clan members Leandros and Atalanta worked to create something that would rejuvenate life within the still mentally-vibrant Tundra once more. Together, they created several devices that would render the dragoness the ability to at least walk again to some degree, giving her a moderate amount of functionality. After drawing in energy from the moon or sun through both her wings and fans along her body, she's able to achieve motion, her pace that of a slow-moving golem (as that is essentially what she's turned out to be). The crystal around her neck acts as a bonding agent between magic, alchemy, and her very soul; should it ever be destroyed, Rutzia's presence would ultimately dissipate, sending her being to live alongside the essences of the Gods.

Currently, she serves as both a Clan Guide to newcomers and Watchdragon, often taking residence either outside the Library or upon a pedestal in the center of the communal area to survey all with a kind, steadfast expression. When not leading dragons to their destination, she sits calmly in either of these locations, confusing most into thinking she's a statue. Due to her newfound genetic makeup, she is more decoration than dragon, lacking the need to eat or sustain herself other than drawing power from the light cast down from planets above. Many often come to speak with her or offer little gifts despite knowing they're unlikely to receive response, older members of the community especially finding her presence soothing. |
