The son of Ghost and Tubori was strangely lighthearted. Especially for a Shadow dragon. And, what's more, he hated games. He hated the way all the other dragons fought to win, at all costs. And, most of all, he hated Mother's Arena.

Mother's Arena was just an excuse to kill dragons. And she did it for fun! As Decision Maker, it was not his choice whether or not to come. He had to decide who the loser was. Most of these decisions Mother called "bad," but he thought they were good. He chose the ones who would probably want to kill themselves later most. One, a sad, grey Pearlcatcher who's pearl had been taken, his scales and eyes turned grey with depression. He hadn't even known that was possible.

One day, he decided to stop it. He didn't come forward to decide. Instead, he relieved the guard and stood next to the Winner's Gate. He would release the winner, and maybe someone else. He would destroy the Arena. And all chances of living for himself, probably. But, by his standards, it was a good plan.

He hid behind the wall next to the Gate, as Mother had instructed all the guards. He waited for the screams and whimpers of the combatants, the cheers of the audience, and the giggle of Isis. When he heard them, he opened the gate, just long enough for two dragons to pass through, acted as though the second he didn't see, couldn't see. Then, much to the confusion of everyone there, he stepped out onto the sands. He glared at Isis through the small openings of his visor.

Isis danced around him, grabbing his helmet. She meant to pull it off, but it froze to his head. She smiled at his scream. Mother looked at him in horror, realizing who he was when his voice rang out. The audience, who had previously started trying to leave, sat back down to watch, realizing that it was not an attack on them, but something that would only entertain them. Soulsnake rose from the ground, his armor falling to the ground in pieces, cracked by Mother's magic. He roared at Isis, and for the first time, he saw that she was scared.

The thin layer of ice that had separated Isis from emotions other than thoughtless joy finally broke when she saw a dragon who didn't believe in the Arena. One who was going to kill her again for what she did. And for the first time since she broke her coffin, she was afraid. She knew that if she died, she would not come back. And there was finally a dragon that could kill her. She had fought and killed Guardians before, it was, in fact, easy. But now, with her sanity back, she did not want to kill him, and so he could easily kill her, one who absolutely deserved it. She had already died, but she was revived, only to squander that privilege by killing many of those who had the gift of life. She knew she did not deserve the life she was pleading for, but there was still hope. She sank to the ground and pleaded for his mercy, causing a gasp from the audience.

"Let's destroy the Arena together."

He said to Isis, who had started begging for mercy. And so they did.

ENF4NJH.pngKNIGHTS OF INFINITYHcLmuty.png
l3kRBf2.png
"Where is he?" Ghost shouts. Tubori has been missing for two weeks. You and your team have been searching for him for all of that time. But you haven't found anything. Ghost is furious, somewhat at herself, because nobody has found him, and she can't decide whether to kill him or keep him. You don't really know what's going on when she grabs a knife from a table. Then, you just stop feeling. And then, you can't see, and you know you're dying just before you shut down completely.

The helmet never came off. It was stuck on his head, no matter how many fire dragons tried to melt the ice, or how many times he went nearly into the fire of the Great Furnace. He learned to live with it. And it became the symbol for the rising goodness in the world. They called themselves the Knights of Infinity. They were an elite group of warriors, making sure that there was as little evil in the world. Some said that they were what they fought against. But they weren't. They always did what had to be done. Steal a strong hatchling from an evil clan here, raise it to be a Knight, kill the leader of a clan that's getting a little too powerful, nearly enough to go crazy and kill everybody. The victims always thought they did wrong, but those who were saved never had a doubt about their goodness.

Tubori was the only dragon who ever killed. He didn't want the deaths to weigh on the conscience of another dragon. Ever.
