Endymion

____It was deep in the tangled bramble and glowing fungi of the Wispwillow Grove that Shirinara, in one of her travels, heard a small stirring... when followed, the succubus discovered the source of this stirring; a tiny feathered dragon, no taller than a centaur’s knee. The little Skydancer was deserted amongst the underbrush, awaiting exaltation, no doubt.

“Don’t be afraid,” she cooed softly, bending down to see him. The dragon scrambled away from her in fear. “Would you like a warm place to sleep?” The hatchling shivered, but slowly nodded, his eyes still trained on her in suspicion. With a broad smile, Shirinara reached out and scooped up the baby, carrying him home with her.

When the frightened hatchling and his savior arrived home to the clan Dolcis Cubare, it took some time for him to adjust and settle in. Shirinara quickly dubbed him “Endymion” for the dark clearing in which she had found him. Before long, the male felt right at him in his new clan. Whether it was some strange magic or a blessing from one of the draconic deities themselves, Endymion had started to morph and change - his feathery wings stretching into the membranous bat-like ones they now are, his claws shifting into three sharp appendages, and the like - until he had become a Nocturne, fitting even happily with his new Nocturne-dominated clan home.
