Biography
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━❋━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Lesson one: speak clearly and specifically. She writes in neat, prim letters on the blackboard, with chalk that leaves scarcely a particle of dust on her carefully groomed feathers, and then she steps back and surveys the class. “Well?” she asks. “Any questions?”
A hand shoots up and waves wildly in one of the back rows. She sighs, softly, and addresses the frantic query with the deftness and patience of a practiced teacher. The rest of the lesson proceeds smoothly, with only one or two more interruptions, and when the gaggle of students crowds out of her classroom, she is glad for it.
Once her students have left, she glances surreptitiously to the left, then to the right, then draws the drapes over the windows, before at last sliding out the hidden compartment beneath her desk. Specificity. Clarity. Meticulousness. She does pride herself on these things, she notes, as she opens her ledger. What work does she have today? Her next lesson plans, of course, based on the day’s class, but also a small set of signatures for a fairly honest and loyal client (at least for her line of work), and a few accounts to put back in order. She hums to herself, as the day’s work truly begins.
Surprisingly, an acquaintance decides to pay her a visit, somewhere between four and five in the morning, when the sun’s rays are just beginning to peek through the clouds once again. First they accuse her of avoiding her home in the Undercity, just to evade them and their foolish questioning. Then they accuse her of being in contact with a certain party, which they know she could neither confirm nor deny for the sake of confidentiality. Finally, they accuse her of being afraid of getting blood on her hands, even though they see the pale contours of malady sketched across her face, and at last she snaps. “Get out of my office,” she growls, and they raise their eyebrows as if there is nothing she can do. She almost laughs. Almost.
Did you hear, her students burble the next day, the City Watch showed up at so-and-so’s door last night, an anonymous tip-off, so we heard, and they almost spill over in their excitement. She murmurs something about not knowing anything about that, and then, let’s get to our lesson, why don’t we?
And they are none the wiser.

[ Notes ]
• Teacher at The Under Academy by day, enterprising forger and blackmarket book keeper by night. Does she ever sleep? Who knows.
• Prides herself in the meticulousness of work in many areas of her life.
• Lives in the residential sections of the Undercity.
• Doesn't suffer fools gladly but is otherwise kind and understanding.
• One of Tsade's closest and most useful contacts but rarely called upon because he is ever-so-slightly afraid of her (not that he would ever let that become apparent).
• Refuses/is unable to do actual fieldwork due to delicate physical health. Anyone implying she's too prissy to get her hands dirty will shortly find their shady dealings broadcasted to City Watch.
