Biography

I have grown up surrounded by Native American artwork, and when the lionfish and noxtide genes were released this particular combination screamed 'Native American artwork' at me purely due to its colors and gorgeous bold patterns. Turquoise, black, white and tan, with pops of red, can be found in a great deal of the sand art, woven blankets and jewelry that I grew up with in my home.

This girl and her mate are inspired by those pieces of art and culture that I was exposed to growing up and my fascination with Coyote stories. I chose 'Coyote' as this girl's name to continue the color and gene theme that goes with her mate, and because I enjoyed his stories growing up. (Coyote is usually depicted as a male, but I already had a male in this color scheme :( )

I also have to admit to being a huge fan on Patricia Briggs' Mercedes Thompson series and the character of Coyote that she writes in her books. I already have Mercy and Adam in the lair, I figured I should get Coyote as well. :P

I hope she comes across as intended, as a small tribute to the gorgeous art and culture I was taught as a child, a nod to one of my favorite books series and to the feeling of home that I associate with Native American art and story.
