Moondancer never knew her family. Her egg was found by a harpy flock in the middle of the desert, with no nest and no siblings. The harpies traded the egg to a roving band of talonok for a bundle of dried anchovies. Due to a miscommunication, the talonok believed the egg was an owlcat. When Moondancer hatched, the talonok panicked. The flock believed an angry mother dragon would return for her hatchling, so they left Moondancer on a mesa with some food and water, and they watched from afar for her mother.

But no mother came.

Once it became clear that no family would arrive, the talonok took her in. Moondancer grew fast, eating piles upon piles of dried anchovies and bamboo leaves. Moondancer spent her time in the air with the talonok, sometimes going for weeks without touching the ground. The talonok band she was with found her useful for carrying around large objects, and her lightning breath could char any food instantly.

But even though Moondancer was happy with the talonok, she felt out of place, especially as she grew into an adult. She was clumsy and unaccustomed to her own strength. She didn't know what to do with herself. Then she started carrying packages for nearby dragon clans and enojyed her work.

Moondancer arrived at the Crosswinds Kingdom and made herself useful. She carried big and small packages, helped build big buildings, and even made friends with the nearby talonok.

Moondancer believes in the value of hard work. She is very perseverant. She is very clumsy on the ground but very graceful in the air. Moondancer doesn't like crowds or large groups of dragons. Moondancer prefers to avoid her problems as well as she can, instead of facing them head on. If she doesn't like a situation, she'll just fly away. Moondancer's partner is Krishnan and the two get along well.
