Wither returned home from her wandering, a changed dragon in more ways than one. She heard her clan muttering something about strange hatchlings as she approached, but all mutterings trailed off when they caught sight of her. She wondered if they recognized her, but her thoughts - so many thoughts from different directions! - were interrupted by a squawk from deep within the cave.

"Look! Another one like us!"

"One of us! One of us! One of us!"

A cacophony of joyous voices called out to her as she entered the cave to be greeted by her strange new brothers and sisters. Ah, well then. She was being welcomed home, even if the welcome was an unexpected one.
