Relationship Notes between Otto/Doc Ock and Maddie/Stellar Dendrite:

-She started dating him before the accident. After the accident, his new persona can be a bit abrasive and really she’s the only one that gets to see his softer, more Otto-esque side.

-Before the accident, the longer they were together, the more relaxed and confident Otto became around Maddie, noted by the fact that he wouldn’t stutter or be as anxious whenever talking to her. That shows through even after the accident, as he will still go to her when he needs someone to confide in, and vice versa, although it’s mainly only when nobody else is around.

-He’ll mostly use darling’s and dear’s with her (sometimes even “Snowflake”); simple but sweet and classy. He expects her to do the same (and you bet your heart she does), using similar endearments with him. She does tease him occasionally (more so as Stellar Dendrite), but even then she’s VERY careful not to cross a line when teasing him. She knows how Norman treated him in the past *cough*degrading nicknames*cough*, and she never wants him to feel like that again. Literally She will fight Norman Osborn

-Before the accident, she’d always try to encourage him, whether to stand up to Norman, or to have more confidence in himself and his inventions, and she was one of the few willing to listen to him, as she knew not many did. Even after the accident, she still tries to do this.

-He’s pretty easy to get jealous. As Otto (before the accident), he used to get very insecure about himself, worrying that he wasn’t good enough for Maddie or that he didn’t deserve her. He still gets insecure as Doc Ock (after the accident), except now he masks it with an air of charismatic intimidation and protectiveness. Like heck he’ll let someone else swoop in and try to pick her up.

-He really likes the positive attention of PDA (Public Displays of Affection), but he’s still got a reputation as a criminal mastermind genius crime-lord to uphold, so he’s not going to be like a super cutesy cuddle bug or anything (at least not out in public, he's more affectionate when the two are alone). Unlike Maddie *cough*, who’s mostly the one giving the more “outright” PDA, mainly to cheer him up, but she respects his boundaries. For him on the other hand, it’s a kiss on Maddie’s cheek or her hand, or an arm around her waist.

-He has the world’s most silver tongue (I mean duh). He has a penchant for poetry and an exquisite way with words. He’s become a lot more forward and classically romantic ever since the accident. Maddie loved him regardless, but this is very nice too (quite hilarious as well, since she’s very well-versed with books and some forms of poetry, so she becomes quite flustered very quickly whenever he uses it on her).

-Otto before and even after the accident still loves to talk about his inventions and his plans, and Maddie just likes listening to him talk animatedly about them.

-Maddie, before and after the accident, prefers showing her love through actions (although she loves her kind use of words as well). She’ll give him hugs, or get him that much needed cup of coffee, just to show him in her own way how much she cares. He really does enjoy her hugs or when she slips her hand into his to hold it. It calms him down.

Willow: *drags random bystander away by the ear* You let my OTP be.

Maddie: *dressed in Otto’s Jacket And a detective hat, and wearing his glasses* *striking a cool pose* *says in an “intimidating” voice* They call me Detective Rothman..

Willow: *trying to hold back laughter*

Maddie: Detective MADDIE Rothman!

Willow: *snickering*

Otto: *stumbling around in the back* Maddie, darling? Have you seen my glasses? I can’t see any-

Maddie: *sweats profusely*

Otto: *trips* -THING! *’THUD!’*

Maddie: *whirls around* OTTO-

Willow: *BURSTS OUT LAUGHING*

Stellar Dendrite: Hey, I might not be as strong as Spider-man, but as long as I have enough strength to carry Otto, I’m happy!

Willow: oh my gosh you absolute dork.

Norman: and what are these? *gestures to a pile of rocks*

Otto: Th-these sir? A project i’ve Been working on-

Norman: *already walking away*

Otto:...*mumbles* well, I guess you could say that they are taken for granite...

Maddie: *head pops out from around the corner* :DDDD!

Willow: How long does your ideal hug last?

Otto before the accident: 38 to 45 minutes.

Willow: that’s really impractical...

Otto: you said ideal, not realistic.

Maddie: *whispers* challenge accepted.

Maddie: I have emotional jumper cables, I’ll boost you!

Stellar Dendrite: *grips his arm tighter* But I must warn you..

Stellar Dendrite: *ice starts forming on the arm she grips* If you take one more diddly darn step right there, I will have to diddly darn snap your neck.

Tombstone: *sweat drops*

Doc Ock: *grips his shoulder tighter* But I must warn you..

Doc Ock: *Two more of his appendages rise and start spinning like buzz saws* If you take one more diddly darn step right there, I will have to diddly darn snap your neck.

Green Goblin: *sweat drops*

Sandman: *pauses* wait, is that an actual offer-*gets whacked in the head by one of Doc Ock’s appendages*

Doc Ock: *deadpan* Oh no, my hand slipped.
