xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The moon shines and stars dance. Songs of sorrow, of mourning and dreams fill the sky, as do songs of joy and love, of new beginnings. She carries them on her wings, once a month, blessing any hatchlings and eggs she can find. No harm will come to those who live during her beautiful night, under her beautiful stars. She is the one who brings peace, who decides their fate. She loves all. She approaches a young drake. The shift of the stars declare Scorpio, and from her wings she shakes stardust onto his little head. He will be shaped into a splendid young dragon - a merchant or a poet, with sharp tongue and wit and low patience or time for criticism. Such as it was designed to be, such as it was meant to be. The breeze is warm as she takes the gale up, up, high into the sky, higher than most dragons dared to fly. She bathes in the river of stardust as the sun slowly rises over Sornieth, collecting the glow in her wings. She feels only peace and adoration, wading and resting through many nights. When she returns to Sornieth, she takes mortal form, entering The Observatory to deliver the blessing of her wisdom and watchful eye. Soon she will return to the night and deliver her blessing unto the young, as she always does. Such as it was designed to be, such as it was meant to be. Such as it will be. |

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cepheus is a vessel born from the stars, blessed with powers from celestial beings. She is a prophet of sorts, able to see what certain dragons will become, will be like. For one week every month, she rests in the stars, and returns to Sornieth afterwards to study and watch over her people from The Observatory. She’s well-known for her ability to see the future of dragons, and has been called upon to examine eggs affected by the world’s shift multiple times - to see eye types, or health, or futures. Times are stressful and confusing, and Cepheus sees to it that she reassure every parent she can and bless every egg or youngling she finds. Cepheus has no bother with taking a mortal name, as dragons with strange and celestial names have been increasingly common as of late. She simply comes to earth, stars and all, and assists the dragons any way she can. Few truly know of her heritage and personality. Cepheus is kind, loving, and selfless. When she fails to help or protect someone, or cannot help someone out of their situation, she feels terrible to the point of a deep depression. Sana, her Guardian, is the only dragon able to shake her out of the funk; Cepheus values Sana more than she values her own life. She adores her with all her heart and soul. Nobody knows quite when Cepheus was born, not even herself - which seems incredibly funny when one considers her job is to read the horoscope. She knows not the future of herself, nor the future of Sana. |
