HYDROMANCER

Basilio, born as Basilio Del Krimson Alon, was a prince of an esteemed royal family that prided themselves in being talented healers and hydromancers. As a young dragon, Basilio showed great promise in his natural-born gift, but he was troubled by performance anxiety and felt unsupported by his highly-expectant family. The Imperial struggled to bridge the widening gap between his magical abilities and his own personal worth. His family taught him that magic alone was what made him special... and useful.

Over the years and well into adulthood, Basilio's inner turmoil began to manifest into turbulent oceanic storms that were often too chaotic for him to control. It is only through his sheer exhaustion do the waves finally cease their thrashing. Eventually, war generals from his extended family saw these displays of awesome power to be an advantageous edge to their cause: dominating other flights in the name of the Tidelord. And it was imperative that Basilio joined the ranks, willingly or not.

Military life embittered Basilio. Although a respected hydromancer within his battalion, he kept his most grievous predictions of battle outcomes to himself out of spite. He would even convincingly lie to his superiors if it meant delaying armed conflict or scaring them into new heights of superstition. And while he maintained a composed front at all times, his eyes failed to conceal his disdain for war.
