Zoran

Zoran stumbled on the reed bridge of The Cloudsong, with his sister behind him. Something was chasing them, something deadly. Zoran could feel it, that the rest of his family had died at the hands of his pursuer. He heard a deep bellow from behind him. It chilled him and made his sister trip on a stray reed. A pure black spiral with bright purple eyes slithered through the air towards them. It opened it's mouth revealing sharp fangs. Zoran's sister whimpered and lay on the bridge, paralyzed in fear. The spiral struck forward and ripped at her. Zoran started bellowing in fear, and sorrow as the spiral chewed his sister to gristle. The spiral charged toward Zoran when finished with his meal. Zoran dived to the side and got launched off the balcony. He couldn't fly and desperately flapped his wings to no avail. The landing was punishing and severely harmed Zoran. He lay down on the granite whimpering in pain. A silver mirror vaporized beside him. she wrapped her wing around him and gently licked his head. In a flash she grabbed him softly and lifted him up in the air. She flew him back to safety in Lombardi's den.
