Metoxen is a softly-spoken dragon, but simultaneously ambitious. He seeks to wedge himself into the upper echelons of the Horde of the Hull - but finds himself stymied that what upper echelons the Hull has are determined not by breed or bloodline but by strength, skill, or usefulness. The dragons of the Hull will even follow the word of a dragon they do not much like, so long as that dragon has proved to be knowledgeable.

Originating from a clan steeped in politics and complex social hierarchies, Metoxen can easily decipher the complexity underneath the simple facade of the Hull's social order. Loquaesa finds his insight useful, but Metoxen has few practical skills beyond what Loquaesa can already manage. Despite his ambition, he has found contentment in the agile and quick-thinking practice of harvesting insects for the ever-hungry clan, and the advising of the powerful and beautiful Captain.

I get the impression he doesn't like me, but I don't see him
as a threat. He is utterly blind to the obvious. Once he's
completed that cure for the curse, perhaps he'll become
more dangerous - but I doubt it.



She is cunning, and powerful, but hindered by her method
of expression. She could use a figurehead to appeal to her
more emotional followers... But in the Hull, she doesn't
seem to need one.
