Isavar groggily opened his eyes, finding himself staring into darkness. "This isn't right", he thought. "I should be able to see something, not just... blackness." He turned his head, looking around, trying to find something within the darkness; there was nothing else.
He realized that something seemed... off. His surroundings were dead silent, his thoughts muffled. He couldn't smell anything. He couldn't feel anything, not even his own body. It was almost like he lost all his senses.
He proceeded to look down (or, at least, was sure he looked down) to find he lacked his silvery, serpentine body; it seemed like only his consciousness was present in this odd place.
"Where... am I?" his thought echoed within the void.
He remained suspended there for some time - although how long was beyond him - until a small, white light appeared in the distance. It then began to slowly grow larger, larger. to the point where he struggled to look at it's blinding radiance; when it became too bright, he closed his eyes.
Suddenly, Isavar felt a jolt of energy, then the light vanished. His senses slowly came back to him, and he felt his back laying against a cold, flat surface. He attempted to open his eyes, but it was as if someone clamped his eyelids shut. He heard faint murmuring, and strained to hear what was being said.

"...Sir, the Isavar android's diagnostic is finished."

"And?"

"While still functional, it's technology is extremely outdated, to the point it cannot connect to the server anymore."

Isavar's head shot up with a start, then started frantically looking about his surroundings. He found himself leaning against a cold, grey wall of a decently-sized cavern, dimly lit by a little campfire by another wall to his left. Some distance in front of him was the opening to the cavern, which appeared to lead out to a white void. Directly in front of him was a Skydancer that appeared to be made of ice.
