Arc

When he was an adolescent, Arc was attacked by a group of rival pearlcatchers, leaving his pearl fractured. He attempted to hide the damage in vain, but he was soon cast out, ignored by his family and other pearlcatchers he had once considered his friends, and he soon wandered away.
Arc was alone until he matured into an adult, and without the influence of other pearlcatchers, he did not inherit the haughtiness and arrogance that his kind are known for, something that caught the eye of a female ridgeback from a clan he happened to pass by, feeling safe and secure with a large dragon protecting him. Suddenly being given attention that he had longed for, he made the naive decision to settle down with her, but ended up being abandoned by her and left with four huge eggs to look after. Fortunately, another member of the clan, a previously outcast male wildclaw named Terrazzo, became fast friends with him and assisted in raising the eggs and the oversized ridgeback quadruplets that hatched from them. Those quadruplets, which call themselves the Kredo Siblings, consider Arc and Terrazzo to be their parents.
