Intelligent Innkeeper with a secret desire to become queen

Burrrrr, what a chilly night out. As the snow flurries and coats the ground and trees as far as the eye can see, this young frosty dragon gives a huff before lighting the fireplace in the main room. While one would think that any dragon could get a proper fire going, this shadow born female had no natural means to do so. Instead, she had to rely on tools to bring the flames to life, chasing the comfortable chill out of the old inn to invite in the guests until the storm out would set.

The sound of hooves had the frosty purple eyes glance up to the half-equine companion that kept this drake came trotting in from outside. He shook his long hair out to let the white powder cascade to the floor by the door, then walked the rest of the way into the sheltered building. "It's going to get bad tonight. We should stay here, like the guests, until it blows over. We can head home tomorrow to see how things fared there," he offered, to which the spotted dragon gave another huff, a cloud of purple flowing from her mouth before fading into the air.

"There won't be much left when things let up. That's why we packed up the way that we did. Come morning, we should probably move on before someone comes in that'll recognize me."

The archer smirked at hearing the dragon said that, then bowed with a nod. "Always a wise choice, though I would think that we're far enough that their claws hold no grasp here. Shall we head north, again?"

'Basava' clicked her jaws as she considered their options. North would definitely lead them away from her origin, but it would also get even more harsh in the chills. Even if she did well in the cold, at some point only ice dragons and the Tundra breed could handle the harsh climate. All the more reason to try it, right?

"Yeah, we'll do that. I'll need to change my name again... But maybe it can be another few years after we settle in, again," she mused, slightly hopeful. Only time would tell, though.
