THE ALL IS OURS AND OURS IS ALL
STATUS: ALIVE
ROLE: WEAPON01
DESIGNATION: HUNTER
OTHER NOTES: ASSIMILATED IN CHILDHOOD. PRODUCES DEADLY INSECTS, ACTS ODD
EXPENDABLE
Notes from Field Researcher Mirale:
One of Epitome's lesser "weapon" drones. It's not very outstanding by itself, but it's a force to be reckoned with when one is faced with both it and its entire pack. It's hard for anything to run from swarms of insects being produced by fast-running nightmares programmed only to hunt prey. Given Epitome enjoys meat and fish the best, the hunter drones have gotten more use than most.
Curious about how they hunt, myself and two other researchers tracked a few from its hunting pack. I followed this one in particular, and it went hunting rather far from its hive, crossing territories until it reached the Tangled Wood. To be honest, I was considering turning back when it was halfway across the Scarred Wasteland, but I had to find out why it was going so far away. Even if it meant getting lost in the Tangled Wood. At least there was always the option of flying up out of the forest to see where I was, eh?
It went deep into the forest before coming to a sudden and complete halt. It was completely still for at least a minute before it slowly turned its head to its right, proceeding in very robotic motions to walk that way. I followed, but stopped and hid when I saw what it was going to.
Another hive. One strong enough to take control of a drone that strayed too far from home.
I had to leave to inform the resistance at once.
Notes from Field Researcher Aerfen:
Ah, it's not often that I have notes on these drones from other researchers. I'm glad that this is one of them. I wasn't here to see the Hive first form after all, but from what I gather, this one was one of the first.
Of all of them, this Mirror is admittedly the most subtle in it's oddities. She acts nearly the same as a normal drone, but can often move outside the twins' range with little to no risk of being stolen. I theorize it may do with how they had pulled her from Epitome's control. Based on how old they look, they likely gained control over her at a similar time as when the Hive that used to be here got eradicated. Whatever the event was, they were young and if this Hunter was assimilated, it could be latent dragon instincts causing her protective and caring motions towards her Consciousnesses.
