Vatrel

Vatrel joined the clan while Sinbad reigned, interested in the leylines as an amateur in reading magic. He had hopes that the convergence would cause his own magic to spark, literally. But nothing in his forte came up, nothing magical appeared for him.

He'd always been this way; magically inept. Even though he was born with magic eyes, sparking and embers falling from his lashes, he couldn't do any magic himself. He took up forging weapons and other metal items at a young age. He looked pretty cool doing all that work with flaming eyes. Sometimes, when he was least interested and most focused, his eyes would alight with flames like nothing else. But no matter how hard he tried he couldn't make his eyes blaze or his magic work.

The leyline convergence didn't make a difference either. That was a major disappointment for Vatrel but instead of leaving, he found that the clan he'd visited needed a metalworker.
