Lizaveta
a Russian name, from the same source as Elizabeth, meaning 'god oath'

  • Born into Nature, Lizaveta has a truly deep, primal connection to her element. As she belongs to the younger generations where such a connection can manifest in her eye type, this is evident from the flowers that bloom by her eyes.
  • Zabel, the Timber Tender, emerged from the Shrieking Wilds not long before her hatching in order to be by Lizaveta's side. It is very rare to find them apart.
  • Her role in the clan is to teach the hatchlings how to find their own connections to Nature, and honour any feelings they have towards the other elements as well. Liza also spiritually guides older dragons who come seeking in the Labyrinth. She met her mate Talor this way, as he came to understand his own heritage and unexpectedly ended up finding a home.
  • Faina, her beloved and exalted mother, was a fire dragon - Lizaveta has left the Viridian Labyrinth three times to journey to see the lands where her mother was born. (Zabel emphatically did not wish to accompany her there. Wood burns.)
  • Despite often making a somewhat intimidating first impression - the glowing eyes, the glimmering wings, the guardian bear at her side - she is actually soft spoken and very sweet to younglings. Lizaveta is enthusiastic about her teaching, her friendships, and her family.
