 Child of the gods of heat and energy, Cassius is the physical embodiment of light. In the crown city of Oren, he is worshiped along with Cynthia, the goddess of light and life. Unlike the other god, Cassius has a body and interacts personally with his followers. Cassius is often lumped with the chaos gods, as he is used as an idol for corrupted politicians and priests who seek to convert others to their ways. Over the short time Cassius has existed, his appearance has shifted to represent his followers, taking on a vain and extravagant fashion. His attitude has likewise altered to fit those that call upon his name. |

Senator Cairen sat on his padded seat, behind the curtain that kept the citizens and their noise concealed. From his bag he withdrew a scroll made of the finest parchment - soft to the touch and durable for use. He went over the words of his re-election speech one last time before giving a short prayer to his patron Cassius. As the crowd applauded, he stood and smoothed down his front, making sure his appearance was in order. An assistant approached him from the side of the stage, dressed in the shimmering golds of the senator's family. "You're on, Mr. Cairen," he nodded respectfully. The senator held out a hand to assistant, and shook his with thanks. Adjusting his jacket once more, he grabbed his bag and made his way to the front of the stage. The assistant's golden eyes sparkled as he watched the senator go. "Good luck." |
