Itzli

Itzli is shy.

She is often told by others if she would just smile at strangers she would have been very popular. But she refused to do so, as her parents taught her to just "stay in lane and do what you need to do". So she did, hoping that she would please them.

Life isn't fair sometimes. She was definitely not her parents' favourite child even though she was an obedient child, to say the least. She looks "bleak and plain" when compared to her parents and her sister who was vibrant and eye-catching and loving, and very often the troublemaker, so when she was offered to go to another clan, she accepted because she doesn't want to see the sadness in her sister's eyes if she was to be separated from her lover.

Travelling from the desert wasn't easy, and Itzli certainly isn't used to the coolness and dampness in the forest where her new clan or "guild" is. She certainly did not expect her guildmaster to be such an affectionate dragon.

She was glad to be accepted immediately. And on the third day of her stay in the guild, she changed. Her originally bleak white chest blended into her dark blue body, and in the night flecks of dim light can be seen scattered on her body. It was as if a switch was pushed in her mind. She became light-hearted and sweet to everyone she sees, especially to the guildmaster who gently coaxed her out of her stoic shell.

Itzli's familiar is Lux, a firebug who stayed in the nursery taking care of the hatchlings before she came here. They became such good friends already just as they first met, and their shy personalities are so similar Chocho laughed at them for being such good sisters!

A month later, a parchment sent from her original clan informed her that her sister whom her parents loved dearly was sent to serve the Lightweaver. This wasn't a surprise to her, after all her mother is a Light priestess. But what shocked her was that her parents were heartless enough to use the ancient rituals on their own daughter. It was recorded that the blood of the sacrifice has to be slowly drained into the altar so that the sacrifice's power will be multiplied in their Goddess's presence.

She cried. Her dear sister is gone, and it felt like her departure tore her soul apart.

And she knows that there will be a corner of darkness in her heart.

Instead of pursuing her mother's career of being a Light priestess, she took to the animals living in the forest, earning the favor of the Gladekeeper by protecting them from unwanted visitors with her deadly aim
