ZE3vWpE.png I couldn't save them...I couldn't...save them...
Her family had always wanted her to be like them. Soft and innocent, blind to the threats around them. She played the part of a perfect daughter but deep down she knew that she wasn't like them. She couldn't be like them. She knew as much every time she looked at a weapon. The urge to learn what she could do with them, to feel life be taken by her own hands. It was wrong in their eyes...in a lot of people's eyes. And for a long time she believed them.

Her real parents abandoned her or were dead. She would never know the truth. No one else knew either. She was found as an egg by this family and they raised her as their own. She didn't hate them. She couldn't hate them. They taught her everything about life, but not weapons, never weapons.
She later learned that their refusal to teach her about weapons or war or anything like it was because they had a child before her. One that they let go to war...and they died for it. They had been terrified that the same would happen to her. Without realizing that she was stronger than their first child, quicker too. She was already different.
But she pretended to have interest in their simple trades and tasks only to keep them happy. All while deep down she constantly felt like something was missing.

The first time she held a weapon was the day she watched them die. The day she watched the light leave their eyes while a bunch of bandits ransacked their home. She killed them, those bandits, for what they did to her family. And...and she enjoyed every moment of it as she watched the light leave their eyes. From that day on she pledged that she would never let anyone around her be weak. She would never let herself be weak either.

Part (Unknown): Knowledge
She couldn't stay in her old town, not with what happened. So she traveled, going anywhere and everywhere. Seeking out any knowledge about weapons and war (and battles) that she could find. Growing her obsession with them further.

Part (Unknown): Worldfire
The Clan Worldfire had not been much. According to the male, with the tentacles coming out from under his mantle, they had just moved there about a year ago and were still trying to accumulate valuables.
"So what brings you here?" his tentacles moved. Davis, he said his name was Davis.
"I have been traveling recently. Anywhere I go I try to accumulate any information on weapons and battles. Anything of the sort really."
"I see, that is an interesting choice in knowledge."
She shrugged. "It has its perks. I was wondering if this Clan had any information for me."
He tilted his head, thinking. "Unfortunately, I personally do not have anything for you. I was only taught basics, that you probably already know plenty of." she nodded her agreement. She did know a lot of the basics. "However, you could talk to Zeid or maybe the Clan Leader, if you would like. They've both had extensive training before."
Excitement bubbled within her. Maybe they had something new for her to learn. "I would like that, do you know where I can find them?"
He shrugged. "Zeid is on a mission and more then likely won't be back for a while and our Leader...he is out and about. I never know where he is half the time."
Right...that didn't help her. "I'll keep an eye out for him then, thank you for the help."
"You're welcome. Please stay as long as you need." he slithered off into another part of the Clan before she realized she never asked what the Leader looked like.

After wandering she stumbled upon a wall with all sorts of weapons. Each has a name plate that told a bit about each. Except for one: a worn looking Cleaver that looked as if it had seen better days. But it called to her.
"That one is a unique one." a male voice said from behind her.
"What do you mean? How, it's so..." she didn't have the words for its state. Only that she would have liked to find the owner to at least tell them a bit about how to care for a weapon.
He came up beside her. "During my training I had borrowed it from a very cranky drake that liked to hoard any kind of weapon that she could get her hands on. She had so many that I thought she wouldn't miss it. I had the intention of returning it but I never got the chance." his face was unreadable.
"Oh." A drake that liked to hoard weapons...that sounded right up her alley. "Where is the weapon hoarder now?" The Cleaver sparkled in the sun.
"More than likely still home, hoarding more weapons." The way he said home was so sad. It twisted her heart.
"Anyway, I heard that you were looking for me."
She pulled her gaze away from the blade to look at him. Viking style clothes, he must have been crazy to be able to stand all that fur in such a hot area.
"If you're Zied or the Clan Leader then yes."
"Leo." he said by way of greeting. No Zied, which meant...
"Sihaya, so you're the Clan Leader?" it wasn't what she was expecting that was for sure.
"That would be me. You're looking for battle information, correct?"
She nodded.
"I can give you some but I haven't been in a proper battle in a long time. I'm honestly more interested in the...living part."
"I take it you're not very good when it comes to fighting?"
"I'm decent. I was taught by one of the best."
"Zeid taught you then?" she tilted her head watching as his face crinkled with sadness for a split second before he waved it away and looked back at the weapon wall.
He shook his head, "he taught me a few things here and there but no he was not my teacher."
"Would I be able to talk to them?"
"My mentor? If you wanted too sure. But she doesn't live here." he was studying the Cleaver now, his expression normal.
She couldn't hide her disappointment. "I'm sorry for taking up your time. I'll see myself out." she turned to leave him and the weapons behind. Maybe the next town would have more for her.
"Wait..." she only made it a few feet away before he called out.
She turned back to see that he now held out a piece of parchment. Words were scribbled on it but she couldn't tell what it said from this far away.
"Zeid was taught by someone else in the same Clan as my mentor. You're welcome to stay and wait from him but I have to admit I don't know when he will be back. This has the location of that Clan if you want to make the journey, or if you happen to be in the area. They would be more than happy to tell you anything you want to know."
She took the folded scrap from him. "How will I know who to talk to..."
"They have a lot of different people that could teach you. But...her name is Namira. Zeid's teacher was Void, the drake that hoards weapons."
"Thank you."
He studied her for a moment before he looked back at the weapons. "Would you do me a favor?"
Before she could state her answer he was taking the Cleaver from its place on the wall. He held it out to her, amusement dancing in his eyes. "Could you return this to it's rightful owner? It has no use here."
He would just trust some random stranger with his weapons. Would trust that they could bring it back just because he asked. She was about to voice it but stopped herself. Maybe he didn't care what happened to it, it didn't look like it was taken care of anyway. So she gently took it from him, a silent answer to his question.
The Cleaver sparkled in the sunlight, with a bit of care it could be a great blade.
"I'll see what I can do." she said, trying not to make any promises.
He smiled "good luck" he ventured off without another word and she could have swore there was more sadness in his smile.

Only once he was gone did she look at the slip of parchment he gave her. We Fallen Few was scribbled at the top along with the location and at the bottom: tell them Leo sent you.
was written almost as an afterthought. She put the parchment in the little satchel. Right between one of the books she carried.
This is going to be an interesting adventure.
