Prose's egg was found abandoned in the Shadow territories. It is unknown who her parents were or why they chose to leave her. Jargon has since become Prose's self-appointed older sister, and the two complement each other well, as Prose seems to have little difficulty understanding Jargon's strange language.
She suffers from an unusual condition that causes the skin and scales on her face and the membrane of her wings to appear melted and decayed. This does not seem to cause her any pain, and the healers have proven it to be noncommunicable, but there doesn't seem to be a cure for it.
Desiring to become a healer, but also quite aware that her decayed appearance would cause her patients to be ill at ease, Prose has since acquired clothing that mostly covers the melted portions of her body. Unfortunately, she has been unable to locate an article of clothing to cover her frills, but her patients rarely ask about their condition, and if they do Prose simply tells them that the holes in her frills are a fashion choice that she made herself - sort of like a facial piercing, you know?
