Arwen was hatched in the Lair of Many References from an abandoned Shadow egg. Despite her rough start in life and small stature, Arwen shows a particular affinity for blacksmithing. She taught herself the art by borrowing some of Ceres' library books, spending hours upon hours in the library and developing a fast friendship with Matilda. Arwen set up her forge near the tar pits where Brea was found, harnessing the heat from the pits and converting it to perform in her craft. Arwen's familiar was her very first completed project, an Automaton brought to life by her masterful ingenuity (and some components from Technetium). It is named Asfaloth and Arwen uses it as a mount to get around Sornieth. Arwen worked on PROJECT 3MP3R0R as Technetium's main welder and panelbeater. She visits the containment facility to perform regular maintenance.

Arwen was the Half-Elven daughter of Elrond and Celebrían. She was often called Arwen Undómiel or "Evenstar". In marrying Aragorn II Elessar after the War of the Ring, she became Queen of the Reunited Kingdom of Arnor and Gondor, and like Beren and Lúthien before her, she united Elf and Man in peaceful love and harmony, in the process becoming mortal. Arwen Undomiel was portrayed in The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King by the American actress Liv Tyler. In the The Fellowship of the Ring, it was she who met Frodo and bore him across the Ford of Bruinen, instead of Glorfindel, and wielded the sword "Hadhafang", which does not appear in the books. She was not mentioned or featured in Ralph Bakshi's earlier film The Lord of the Rings. Behind the Scenes In The Two Towers movie by Peter Jackson, Arwen was originally supposed to appear with the host of Elves and fight at Helm's Deep alongside her lover, Aragorn. This was later cut from the film. |
