____The twins Tricks & Treats have always had a knack for causing trouble. Even at a young age, they found great joy in winding themselves around the various cracks and crevices of the observatory they call home. The best part was that their parents are the only ones who can tell them apart! So when the sugar started to get replaced with the salt, no one knew who to punish.

____Problems started to arise when bigger things started to go wrong. Eggs switched in nests. Ritual items covered in sticky mystery goo. When their progen discovered their favorite body paint replaced with itching cream, it was decided. The twins needed to strike out and find an outlet for their energy. This worked fine for them. After all, they have a best friend built in.

____When Verna was out on her morning rounds, flying low and slow, she saw the most curious thing. Two young spirals were perched by a cactus, taking turns drawing on it. First one would carve an eye patch. The other would add a mustache. Then they would burst into giggles and collapse before moving to the next one. How many have they - oh. They have an army of cacti; and some of them are quite good. She looked around for an adult - someone responsible for these two hatchlings. The desert can be dangerous after all.

____She landed near the the two would-be generals and cleared her throat loudly. "excuse me, but why are you defacing my property?" With a starteled chirp, they replied in unison "we aren't defacing them - we are RE-facing them!" before tumbling around in another giggle fit. "Fair point. You know, my lair could use some new statues - want to come with me and give it a look? You two are awfully young to be wandering about on your own"

"Sure! Do you have any sweets? We like sweets. You should pay us in sweets."

It didn't take long for the two tricksters to get adopted into the clan. Sometimes a little chaos is needed to make life a little more fun.
