robot made by the arcanist based on the alien tech his teams have recovered, powered by magic

She was a guard bot on the ship. Not programmed for anything past that. Streamlined to contain prisoners and subjects on the ship.
Once she woke up on Sorenith, that changed. Shadow Ichor seeped shadow magic into her being and had given her self awareness that she would have never been allowed to have on the ship, along with new Arcane Magic given to her by one of the deities of this world. She is expected to work and serve this new master, but she now has mischief and mayhem within her heart now. She serves The Arcanist, playing the role of a new toy for him along with divulging information of her past home. But to be honest, not everything she says is true. And she can’t wait for it to all blow up in his face.

Fell from the ship on the night of the Massive Break Out in the ship. A casualty of a prisoner who used her as a crash pad when they escaped from the ship and crash landed in the Tangled Wood

Her body was mangled beyond self repair, and she new that she would not be able to hold on until the ship recovered her, so her programming made the executive decision to self destruct.

She woke up immediately after destruction, to find it was months later, and she was in a completely different body. It was undoubtedly hers, yet, different. Her original vessel housed new foreign parts, humming with what the natives called Magic. She ran a self diagnostics, reviewing the night she fell to Sorenith up to her self destruction, then the past few months from when the scientists managed to piece her brain together to now. She had also found found that it was not just Arcane Magic residing inside her, but a dark ichor had hidden itself in the darkest slivers of herself, remaining undetected by the native scientists who had worked on her. She would have panicked thinking it was the Shade, but her quick mind reminded that The Shade would not have stayed hidden or this small for long.
She paused.
She actually doesn’t remember ever feeling the need to panic. She doesn't remember being able to think in the way she is now. She ran a deeper diagnostic on herself, and saw there was more ichor ingrained on her most important parts, what would be called her brain and her heart. It’s minuscule, but the ichor had seemed to be seeping another kind of magic into her very being.
She was experiencing what only the Important Robots got to: a self identity. One of her own, that she could form and create herself.

Backstory
Drystan is a mechanical creature from beyond the known world. She remembers a prison aboard a vehicle meant to travel the stars. She was a guardian there, built to keep prisoners and subjects in line. Her purpose was simple, but succinct--until a massive prison break shattered all of it.
In the chaos, a prisoner took her captive and used her as an escape vessel during their escape.
Both crashed into the Tangled Wood of the world below. Abandoned in a body left a smoldering ruin, Drystan knew that her body could not hold out for rescue. She made the executive decision to self-destruct.
Five months later she awoke to a body she did not remember living in. It was undoubtedly hers, yet, different. Her original vessel housed new foreign parts, humming with what the natives of this world called Arcane magic. She ran a self diagnostics, reviewing the night she fell to Sorenith up to her self destruction, then the past few months from when the scientists managed to piece her brain together to now.
She had also found that it was not just Arcane magic residing inside her. A dark Ichor tasting of the dark woods she initially landed in had embedded itself deep into the darkest slivers of herself. Its presence was curious, since it seemed to have escaped the notice of the scientists who changed her.
A sharp feeling of panic coupled with a horrible thought in her mind; that this dark substance could be the Shade. A quick dissection of this thought reminded her that The Shade could never have stayed so hidden or so small for that many months. Relief filled her as the panic dissipated.
She paused.
She never remembered feeling the need to panic, or to feel relief, or to recognize either of these emotions. A deeper diagnostic scan revealed there was ichor ingrained deep into her body, down into her mind and mechanical heart. The dark substance curled there was seeping an unknown kind of magic into her very being.
She was experiencing what only the Important Robots got to: a self identity. One of her own, that she could form and create herself--all thanks to the strange squirming substance embedded into her core.
On Sorienth
The Arcanist’s followers brought Drystan back from the brink of death. In return, the god expects her gratitude to be expressed in her full devotion to his causes. She is expected to work and serve him as her new master. And for now, she does. She plays the role of a new toy in his arsenal, as well as providing information on her duties aboard the prison vessel before the outbreak.
However, Drystan has discovered that honesty is quite boring. Some secrets she holds close to her chest, and others she simply “tweaks”, for the fun of it. It is fascinating to see the Arcanist’s underlings and even the Arcanist himself scurry around following information trails that lead into nothing. Mischief and mayhem live in her heart now. Now, she can’t wait for everything the Arcanist has built to blow up in his face.
