Biography

Hatchling
Nogglet

Ukalliq jumps between being talkative and very quiet. When she does talk she can at first seem soft spoken, although when around dragons she dislikes you may start to hear notes of snark pick up in her tone. Among dragons she is close to however Ukalliq opens up to reveal that she's very friendly and prefers idle chat and relaxation with her friends over things that require a lot of energy. Ukalliq likes others to be straightforward with how they feel about something but struggles to do this herself, resulting in frustration at her lack of ability to talk about her emotions.
She is easily overwhelmed and dislikes bright lights and loud noises, being closest to Aaushi and (nocturne) compared to the other hatchlings for their quiet natures and mindfulness.
Ukalliq was found on the border after news of a freak accident in the Southern Icefield which wiped out an entire clan, an event she refuses to talk about. She does talk about fish and marine life in general though, probably having been influenced by Wander's stories of the Sea of a Thousand Currents and frequently asks him questions about anything she doesn't understand regarding the subject. Anything outside this realm results in her asking Aaushi, who tries her best but is often unable to answer.

"Noggle!"
Aaushi was jolted awake at the sound of Ukalliq. She blinked sleepily. It's still dark.. what time is it? "What?" Her jaws parted in a huge yawn as she said this, showing little sharp rows of teeth. Ukalliq had since become a little more comfortable with the clan, but still deigned only to accompany Aaushi most of the time. The pearlcatcher was grinning widely and holding a bowl of water, looking thrilled. In it was a small, sturgeon like creature.
"Noggle noggle noggle!" She chanted, happily plopping down on the ground with the bowl staring at the fish within. Ah, noggle. Aaushi mentally noted. Wait, what?
"Where'd you get one of them?" She enquired, unable to hide her curiosity, watching the noggle swirl around the bowl contentedly. And where'd you get the bowl?
"I found him." The little spotted pearlcatcher answered, seeming unwilling to elaborate. "Can we keep him? I think he likes me!" The imperial felt a little embarrassed at the opposite dragon's eager gaze. The other hatchlings seemed to value her opinion very much. They're supposed to ask Akahele or Wander, not.. me.
"I-I'm not the one to ask, Ukalliq. And besides.." She looked through the den's exit, seeing no light to imply daytime and still unable to shake away her sleepiness. "It's the middle of the night, it seems. We should all be resting right now. If you like we can ask Wander in the morning." She yawned again. Ukalliq hummed thoughtfully.
"Okay." She agreed, "Thanks, Aaushi." before setting down the bowl in one of the corners quite close to them carefully and pressing her muzzle against it with undisguised interest towards the creature within. The copper dragon padded over to Aaushi, seeming to then realize just how tired she really was when she stumbled a little, looking surprised as she did so. Aaushi opened one of her inky black wings, smiling softly as Ukalliq nestled herself underneath, before laying it over her small body gently.
"Night." She whispered. She never got an answer, however, for her friend had already fallen asleep.
