Name Meaning: Donau is the German name of the river Danube, which is the second longest river in Europe.
Notes for lore (spoilers?):
- soul of a dragon mixed with spirit of a river
- the dragon that Donau used to be drowned himself in the river many years ago
- right before death he regretted the very act, so he couldn't pass over
- his soul stayed slumbering in the bottom of the river, eventually mixing with the river's spirit and creating a semi-new being (he's at the same time that past dragon and someone else)
- awaken by Blueberry's (another) attempt at drowning himself, this time in the river Donau was in
- rescued Blueberry from death
- afterwards he stuck with him to persuade him not to kill or harm himself
- it's possible that when he succeeds at that, his regret will be lifted and he'll be able to pass on
- then again, he's not just himself anymore, so passing on may be just impossible now
- Donau was not the name of the dragon that drowned himself nor the river - it is strictly the name of the being that exists now
- corporeal, not a ghost

Going by the name Styx in another life, this derg spent thousands of years as a place for the distraught dergs of Sornieth to drown themselves within - until the Windsinger took pity on him and gave him physical form.

Going to this guys page is such an … experience. In the best of ways. I clicked on him because he is beautiful. He has an ethereal, otherworldly air to him that's just enchanting. The yellow eyes shine bright, both matching with the wispy limegreen of the accent and the spinner, and standing out beautifully from the rich blue of the rest of his colors. He sucks you in with beauty and loveliness. And then you read his bio. I had not expected it to be that dark. Its tragic and horrible, but so well written - and the concept itself is extremely interesting. And when you've read it, after you get this sinking feeling in your chest, feeling horribly sad for this lost spirit, you scroll up and look at him again. And you see him in a new light, you see the immense tragedy of it all. The softness of the blue, like he's underwater, being washed out and washed away. The wisps hanging around him like faint ghosts. It all changes, because of the words in his bio. Its such a great effect. I enjoyed every bit of it
I imagine he sings sometimes, full of sorrow
